JEM Construction of Tallahassee installs made to order replacement windows and sliding glass doors across Franklin County. Franklin County sits inside the area we cover, and we work the towns across it rather than just the county seat. Every unit is manufactured to the measurements we take at your house, so it sits in the opening the way it was designed to instead of being shimmed and foamed into a gap.
On the coast, impact resistant glass is often a code requirement rather than an upgrade, and your local building department sets the standard for your address. We will tell you which side of that line your project falls on before you choose a glass package, and the permit and inspection are filed and managed by us either way.
The same crew and the same made to order product line covers the whole area, coastal and inland.

One made to order line, finished the way you choose. There is no good, better and best lineup, because we are not interested in installing the good one.
Welded frames and sashes, chambered profiles that trap air for insulation, a sloped sill that sheds heavy rain and coated insulating glass. Both sashes tilt inward, so the outside of the glass gets cleaned from inside the house.
An inch of laminated glass with a bonded inner layer, aluminum reinforced sashes and Florida Building Code product approvals. On the coast this is frequently what the code asks for, and it is what we quote by default near the water.
Same construction and the same lifetime warranty as the windows. Multi point locking, smooth rollers on a raised track that stays clear of dirt, and two, three and four panel layouts. Available with impact resistant glass.
More on styles, materials, glass and hardware is in the Choosing Windows guide, and the full product detail is on the Our Windows section of the homepage.
The same sequence on every house we do. The full seven-step process is on the homepage.
Call or send the form and we schedule a time to come out and look at every opening.
We take the measurements ourselves and price your actual openings, with the permit, taxes and warranty already in the number.
We file the permit and manage the inspection while your windows are manufactured to your measurements.
Usually one to two days for a full home. Every old window and all the debris leaves with us the same day.
Tell us how many openings are involved. The visit and the quote are on us.

Yes. Franklin County is inside the area JEM Construction of Tallahassee covers. We measure, order, permit and install, and the old windows leave with us the same day.
Replacement windows require a permit. We file it and handle the inspection with Franklin County, and it is already in the number we quoted you rather than a line item you settle separately.
Along the coast it is often a code requirement, and your local building department sets the standard for your address. Laminated glass holds together when something hits it, which keeps wind and rain from getting inside and pressurizing the house during a storm.
Averaged across a full home, our projects land between $1,000 and $1,250 per window installed, and $1,500 to $2,000 for a sliding glass door. Specialty shapes, oversized openings and impact resistant glass push the range up. There is no minimum, so a single window is a job we will do.
Plan on four to twelve weeks for the windows to be built, because production does not begin until your order is placed. Install day itself usually runs one to two days for a full home, and we do not leave an opening uncovered overnight.

Thanks. We will be in touch about your windows. If it is urgent, call (850) 212-1117.
